Calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi insecure, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday said that every morning, the PM thinks about who he can send to jail.

As reported by The Indian Express, the Delhi Police has registered 49 FIRs and arrested four persons, including two printing press owners, after posters seeking Modi’s ouster (‘Modi hatao, desh bachao’) were found pasted on walls and poles across the capital. Police alleged that one of the arrested men disclosed that his employer had asked him to deliver the posters at the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters.

Talking about the slogan and posters, Kejriwal said, “It is the right of every citizen. Why is Modi ji so scared? Itna dara hua, insecure Pradhan Mantri? Mujhe lagta hai subah uth ke sochte hain aaj kis kis ko jail mein daalna hai. Aaj isko daalunga, usko daalunga (I think that he wakes up every morning and thinks about who he should put in jail today. I will jail him today, someone else tomorrow…),” Kejriwal said.

The AAP also took on the PM, calling him “dictatorial”. “The Modi government’s dictatorship is at its peak. What is so objectionable about this poster that Modi ji filed 100 FIRs for putting it up? PM Modi, it seems you do not know that India is a democratic country. Why are you so scared of a poster?” the AAP said in a tweet.

The party, led by Kejriwal, will kickstart the ‘Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao (Remove Modi, Save the Nation)’ campaign from Jantar Mantar Thursday. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will also attend the public meeting.

“Party workers and supporters from all over the country will gather for the meeting to be held on the martyrdom day of the country’s great freedom fighters Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The AAP will start a ‘Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao’ campaign during this meeting,” party’s state in-charge Gopal Rai said at a press conference. Rai said the country was facing grave danger. “The country got a Constitution, democracy, parliamentary system, Election Commission and a judiciary after a long struggle by freedom fighters. But after 75 years of independence, freedom, democracy and the Constitution…are facing danger. Undeclared dictatorship has been implemented in this country,” he said.
