Litigants coming to the Delhi High Court will no longer need to stand in long queues to get entry passes made as filing of cases can now be done online.
The High Court on Friday inaugurated the system of e-Filing of cases for Company and Tax jurisdiction matters and the online gate pass registration system.
Now,litigants will be able to register themselves on the High Court website. As soon as the litigant registers for the entry pass,an SMS and email would be sent to the lawyer named by the litigant for verification.
The lawyer will then send a verification email to the registry, which will issue an online receipt. The litigant can then go to the court with the printed receipt and ID proof.
According to High Court computer committee in-charge Justice B D Ahmad, the process to verify the receipt and issue a photo entry pass will be very quick.
The litigant can use the same registration number to generate entry passes for each visit.
