No autos, two-wheelers allowed on newly opened Dwarka Expressway stretch
In just a day since the stretch opened, traffic police have already issued over 20 fines to drivers of vehicles driving on the wrong side.

Two-wheelers and auto-rickshaws cannot ply on the newly opened 19-km stretch of the Dwarka Expressway, said the Gurgaon Traffic Police. The segment, which falls in Haryana, was thrown open to the public on Tuesday, a day after it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to DCP (Traffic) Virender Vij, a meeting was held to discuss traffic management on the Expressway where he told officers that entry of six types of vehicles will be prohibited: two-wheelers (scooters/motorcycles), tractor/ trolleys, three-wheelers (auto-rickshaws), multi-axle hydraulic trailer vehicles, quadricycles, and non-motorised vehicles. Traffic Police officials were directed to ensure the enforcement of rules by issuing fines if any of these vehicles are found on the Expressway and prohibiting their entry.
Moreover, vehicles found violating traffic rules, including those driving on the wrong side of the road, were instructed to be fined as per regulations. In just a day since the stretch opened, traffic police have already issued over 20 fines to drivers of vehicles driving on the wrong side.
To control speeding, a new interceptor challan machine was provided to the department with instructions to ensure that light motor vehicles maintain a speed of 100 km/h and heavy motor vehicles maintain a speed of 80 km/h on the expressway. Challans are to be issued to drivers exceeding the prescribed speed limit to prevent road accidents.
Strict orders were also given to take immediate action against mischievous elements and drivers performing stunts. Police teams are being regularly deployed on the Expressway, said officers.
