Oberoi has instructed the officials to ensure that the new parking facility is ready by the first week of 2024.
The newly-built automated multi-level car parking to decongest Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area will be made ready by January, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Mayor Shelly Oberoi announced during an inspection of the parking facility on Wednesday.
The new parking facility which has been created near the Community Centre and Amar Colony Market and spans across three floors with facilities like toilets, a control room and a rainwater harvesting system.
During her visit, the officials apprised Oberoi of the work plan, the construction of the project and the facilities being developed in the complex, the Aam Aadmi Party said in a press statement. Oberoi has instructed the officials to ensure that the new parking facility is ready by the first week of 2024.
“Completion of this parking project will provide a lot of relief to the people organising events in the community hall. Apart from this, people visiting the surrounding areas will also benefit,” she said.
The MCD has plans to develop parking facilities in other parts of the city as well.
