After days of waiting and an overcast Monday,Delhi finally got the full monsoon treatment on Tuesday. The intermittent spells of rain started around 10 in the morning and continued till late in the evening with the Safdarjung Met Department recording 28.4 mm rainfall till 5.30 pm. A total 38.2 mm of rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung over the last 24 hours. Coolest day: The maximum temperature dipped to five notches below normal at 30.2 degrees Celsius. It is after months that the temperature in the city dipped to such low levels. More ahead: The India Meteorological Department predicts more rains on Wednesday,though the volume will be lesser. There will be one or two spells of rain but the day will remain cloudy, said the weatherman. Minimum temperatures are also expected to remain low at around 25 degrees Celsius.
