Medical student killed,two others injured in mishap on Expressway

One youth was killed and two others injured after their motorcycle was hit from the rear by another vehicle on Sunday morning.

One youth was killed and two others injured after their motorcycle was hit from the rear by another vehicle on Sunday morning.

The incident took place near Exit No 7 on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. The youths were riding triples on a Bullet and were coming from Delhi.

One of the youths,Hitesh Kumar,a resident of Jharsa,died on the spot while two others,Gautam and Aditya,have been admitted to a private hospital with critical injuries.

The victims are second-year students at SGT Medical College in Bhudera near Farukhnagar. All are in the age group of 19-20 years.

According to police,the driver of the vehicle,which rammed the motorcycle from behind,fled the spot after the incident.

The Expressway patrol spotted the accident and notified the control room and immediately rushed the injured to the hospital.

Police said the body of Hitash Kumar was handed over the family members after a post-mortem examination. According to a hospital source,Gautam’s condition is stable while Aditya continues to remain critical.

“The students were not under the influence of alcohol,according to medical reports. We are trying to locate the vehicle which ran over the bike,” said investigating officer Jai Bhagwan.
