Man gets 7-yr RI for rape

Stating that consent obtained through false promises for committing a sexual act amounts to rape,a Patiala House court on Friday sentenced a youth to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment for raping an 18-year-old woman. The court also imposed a Rs 2,000 fine on the offender,Manoj (24). Manoj had promised to marry the victim.
