Lokesh M to replace Ritu Maheshwari as CEO of Noida
Kanpur's divisional commissioner Lokesh M will replace Maheshwari who was also removed from the position of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) CEO on July 9.

After serving for a long-time as Noida Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ritu Maheshwari has been removed from the position and transferred to Agra where she has been appointed as the commissioner.
Kanpur’s divisional commissioner Lokesh M will replace Maheshwari who was also removed from the position of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) CEO on July 9.
A 2003-batch IAS officer of the UP cadre, Maheshwari had been serving as Noida CEO since July 2019 after holding the post of the Ghaziabad district magistrate. She is also the Managing Director of Noida Metro Rail Corporation.
After former Greater Noida CEO and Meerut commissioner Surender Singh was posted as secretary to Delhi L-G on September 28, 2022, Maheshwari was given additional charge of GNIDA CEO as well. Ravi Kumar N G, a 2004-batch IAS officer, has replaced her as GNIDA CEO.
Lokesh M is a 2005-batch IAS officer, who was appointed as Kanpur Commissioner on May 31. Earlier, he was Saharanpur’s Divisional Commissioner. Before that, he served as District Magistrate and collector of Mainpuri, Kushinagar, Etah, Ghazipur, Amroha and Kaushambi districts from 2009 to 2016. He was Special Secretary to UP Govt’s Horticulture and Food Processing Department, and Housing and Urban Planning Department in 2013-14. The IAS officer was deputed in Karnataka state for five years from 2016 to 2021 on personal grounds. His home district is Bengaluru.
