L-G meets home minister, clashes figure in talks

Lt-Governor Najeeb Jung on Thursday met Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. Reportedly, the clashes between the AAP and BJP supporters outside the BJP office was discussed in the meeting.

“Though the meeting was not exclusively about Wednesday’s incident outside the BJP headquarters, the issue did figure in the discussion,” a source said. The L-G and the Home Minister are believed to have expressed concern over the violence ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

The Munak Canal issue was also discussed. Following the imposition of President’s rule, the L-G is overall in charge of the Delhi administration, besides the Delhi Police.
