It is billed as one of Indias biggest theatre shows for children. Over two weeks,Delhi will play host to 22 plays in nine languages, from 19 states. Jashnebachpan, the annual theatre festival for children organised by Sanskaar Rang Toli of the National School of Drama, gets underway on November 1. Most of us in the creative field were introduced to the arts as young children. We hope that children who watch theatre will develop a lifelong interest in the stage, enacting plays or watching these, says Dadi Pudumjee, whose play Simple Dreams (picture) will be held on the inaugural day. The play uses minimal props like sticks and umbrellas to create vignettes of nature and life. The other offerings include Andher Nagri Chaoupat Raja in Hindi,Day I Met the Prince in English from Mumbai and Ganpati Bappa Moriya from Indore. Jasnebachpan will be held till November 14.Contact: 23389402
