Headley did not meet anyone in hotel: cops

David Headley,who stayed in De Holiday International and Anand Hotel in Paharganj between March 7 and 10,as per the hotel register entries,did not meet anyone in his hotel rooms,said sources in Special Cell.

The Special Cell is investigating Headleys links with the September 13,2008,Delhi serial blasts accused. He used to stay in his hotel room most of the time. No one reportedly came to meet him and if he had to make a call,he used the PCO, said a source.

Officials said two Delhi blast accused,Shahnawaz and Asadullah Khan of the Indian Mujahideen (IM),had reportedly called Headley from Uttar Pradesh two days after Batla House encounter on September 19. We have to trace Headleys cellphone number and ID to know the places he had visited in Delhi, said a source.

Among the documents recovered by Special Cell were a copy of his passport and register entries of hotels. Entry number 285 at De Holiday International mentioned he came to the hotel from IGI airport after taking a cab at 4.45 pm on March 7 and entry number 153 at Hotel Anand mentioned that he had shifted to the hotel from De Holiday at 11.50 am. Official sources said during investigations into the Delhi blasts,they had not come across any suspicious cell number used specifically in Paharganj.

Since Shahnawaz and Asadullah Khan had called him,we have to find the link, said the officers. The investigators are checking his travel details and are in touch with National Investigation Agency (NIA) since the case against Headley has been registered by the NIA.

His passport (No. 097536400) details are also being checked.

Sources also say that Intelligence Agencies had never alerted about anyone called Headleys stay in Delhi this year.
