Gurgaon woman murder solved,mason arrested

According to the police,the accused was working as a mason at the house. Addressing the media Rakesh Arya,DCP (West),said,“According to the victim’s husband Vanita had called him to ask whether to allow the mason to join work on the fateful day. When we checked with the contractor,we found Sunil absconding. We traced him to his hometown in Malpur,Agra in UP and arrested him from there.”

The police said Sunil confessed to the crime during interrogation. The DCP added that the accused alleged that he was dissatisfied with the payment he was made. “According to the contractor,he was asked to fit marble tiles in the basement for Rs 5,000,which was to be paid on a daily basis at the rate of Rs 250. Instead,Vanita would make him work from 7 am till late at night and then forced to stay back. He has alleged that he was not paid what he was promised during the seven days he worked at the Kaushik residence. The accused had also complained about this to the contractor,Santosh,” DCP said.

The police said Sunil was in dire need of money for his mother’s treatment. When he asked for his payment on Tuesday,an argument apparently ensured and he hit Vanita with a heavy rod. “The postmortem report confirmed the cause of death as bleeding caused due to an injury from a blunt object,” the police said.

The Sector-5 police have registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC.
