Ordered by the Allahabad High Court to pay enhanced compensation to farmers whose land had been acquired in the area,the Greater Noida Authority on Friday decided that individual allottees will also have to pay extra,anywhere between Rs 550 to Rs 2,015 per square metre,to share its burden.
The decision comes days after the Authority sent notices to 95 private developers with upcoming projects in the Noida Extension area. They have been directed to pay an extra Rs 2,015 per square metre.
The Authority,in its board meeting held on Friday,resolved that all individual plot owners,who have been allotted land as per the Master Plan 2021 across 38 villages in Greater Noida,will have to pay this extra amount. Requisite notices will soon be sent to them.
According to the Authoritys records,there are around 30,000 individual plot owners in Greater Noida. Those with residential plots will now have to pay an additional Rs 1,465 per square metre while owners of group housing plots will have to pay an extra Rs 2,015 per square metre. Those who have been allotted institutional and industrial plots will now have to pay an additional Rs 550 per square metre.
Meanwhile,accepting the demands of the farmers of Tappal and Agra,the Yamuna Expressway Authority has decided that all those whose land was acquired for development purposes will now get their respective share of developed plots from within the township area itself.
We have finalised the allotment of developed plots to 11 villages that come under the Authority and allotment will start tomorrow, Yamuna Expressway Authority CEO Pandhari Yadav said.
