They called me a gold digger and accused me of having relationship with Sukesh Chandrasekhar: Nora Fatehi
Fatehi and fellow actor Jacqueline Fernandez have been questioned in a money-laundering case against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi on Monday recorded her statement before a Delhi court in a defamation case filed by her against fellow actor Jacqueline Fernandez and media organisations.
In her statement, Fatehi said her reputation was ruined in the public eye through false narratives. “They called me a gold digger and accused me of having a relationship with a con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar,” she said. “I feel that I have been used as a scapegoat in this case in the media to safeguard certain people and because I am an outsider and I have been taken as a soft target and I want compensation for all the damages caused to my career. Jacqueline has asked the media why ED has taken me as a witness in the case and her as an accused. This statement has led to prolonged unnecessary harassment, loss of work and cyber bullying.”
Fatehi filed a defamation case in December last year claiming that Fernandez had made statements “to destroy her career” and “made defamatory imputations” due to “malicious reasons” with an intent to “destroy her career to further her own interests”.
Fatehi and Fernandez have both been questioned in a money-laundering case filed against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Fatehi complained that remarks made by Fernandez were circulated by the other accused people, “all of whom were acting in connivance” with each other to ensure the former’s “financial, social, and personal downfall”.
After recording her statement, the Patiala House Court set a date in September for recording the statements of other witnesses.
Fatehi was represented by advocate Vikram Chauhan in the court.
