Faridabad man arrested for raping daughter for over two months

Police said the abuse came to light on Wednesday when the girl developed severe abdominal pain and fever and confided in an elderly neighbour.

The neighbour took the girl to a doctor on Wednesday morning, where she disclosed the assaults. The neighbour alerted the police control room, and an FIR was then filed, police said.

Officers said the girl’s mother had left the family two months ago due to the accused’s alcohol addiction. She had taken two of their six children to her sister’s house, leaving the survivor (the eldest daughter) with her father and three other minor sisters.

Police said the accused returned home intoxicated almost every night and allegedly subjected the victim to aggravated penetrative sexual assault and harassment, with the most recent incident taking place on Tuesday night.

Police said the survivor is under medical care, with examinations confirming the abuse.

“Police are providing counselling to the three other minor daughters to check for any additional abuse. The investigation is ongoing,” a police spokesperson said on Saturday.
