EPFO makes arrest over PF dues default

The proprietor of a manpower supplying agency has been arrested by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation,Delhi,for allegedly defaulting on payment of provident fund dues.

The proprietor of a manpower supplying agency has been arrested by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation,Delhi (North),for allegedly defaulting on payment of provident fund dues.

In a press release,Vikas Sodai,Regional PF Commissioner-II,EPFO,said the proprietor of M/s Shiva House Keeping Services,New Delhi was arrested for defaulting on payment of PF dues amounting to Rs 8,75,242 during 2001-2007. He said the arrest was made after a quasi-judicial inquiry and the issue of a recovery certificate against the establishment.

The EPFO,Sodai said,has launched a recovery drive with a view to recover EPF dues from defaulting establishments.
