(Express Photo)DUSU Election Result 2025 LIVE Updates: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won in three out of four posts in the DUSU elections — Aryan Mann trouncing Congress-backed National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Joslyn Nandita Choudhary to win president’s post with 28,821 votes, Kunal Chaudhary in the Secretary race with 23,779, and Deepika Jha in the Joint Secretary race with 21,825 votes. The (NSUI) candidate Rahul Jhansla secured the Vice-President’s post with 29,339 votes. Counting began at 9 AM Friday at the Convention Centre in North Campus, with final results expected by evening. Of the 1.53 lakh registered voters, 60,272 students cast their ballots, pushing turnout to 39.36% — up from 35.2% in 2024, though still below the 42% recorded in 2023. A total of 21 candidates are in the fray for the four posts on the central panel.

Of the three major contenders, two have fielded women— Joslyn Nandita Choudhary, from Congress-backed National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Anjali fielded from SFI-AISA alliance, and Aryan Maan fielded by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
