DLF Phase V to come under hi-tech surveillance system

Interestingly,DLF’s surveillance scheme comes at a time when the much-hyped project of the Gurgaon Police to install CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras across the city is yet to see the light of the day.

Sources said owing to many important and influential people residing in DLF Phase V,it was decided that the surveillance system would be first launched here.

“The system,which includes 18 high-zoom IP cameras,will act as a deterrent to anti-social activities in the area. Live streams from the cameras will be provided to DCP (East),” said a DLF official.

In addition to this,a 45-day backup feature has been installed,which will be helpful for police in investigations. The ground security staff of DLF will support the area surveillance of DLF Phase V.

The surveillance system will improve efficiency of DLF’s quick response team,consisting of an armed security squad,fleet of SUVs and motorcycles,officials said.

Aakash Ohri,Senior Vice President,DLF Ltd,said,“The aim is to ensure prompt response within minutes of any incident reported in the area. We have accomplished this at DLF City Phase V and will replicate the same in other phases as well.”

Commissioner of Police K K Sindhu,who inaugurated the facility said,“This will greatly help the police in curbing crime in the area. The police too will put up cameras at sensitive areas in the city,” Sindhu said. When asked about the Gurgaon Police’s project of installing CCTVs all over the city,Sindhu said the project will be completed soon.
