Commuters using the Noida road to travel to Noida from Delhi will soon have a smoother ride,as the clover-leaf flyover near Sector-14 A is set for inauguration.
The Noida Authority plans to inaugurate the flyover next month, which runs over the traffic signal just after the Noida entry point. Further, the Authority has decided to make the stretch up till Parichowk in Greater Noida signal-free; work is underway to do away with the two traffic signals at Sector 15 A and Film City on the stretch.
According to Authority officials, the flyover construction near Noida entry point,in front of Sector-14 A,is almost complete. The flyover will also ease journey for those traveling from Greater Noida,as the clover-leaf flyover will land them on the road leading to the Indian Oil roundabout.
The cut and U-turn in front of the Police Control Room, which is used to go to the roundabout, will be blocked, S K Srivastava, chief project engineer of Noida Authority, said.
For those travelling from the Indian Oil building roundabout to Delhi, the flyover will land them outside the Noida exit point. The flyover ends at the Delhi border. The point where around 10 minutes are wasted due to red lights from entry into Noida to the intersection of Sector 14-A and 15-A will be made signal free by January, the official said.
Mohinder Singh,CEO Noida-Greater Noida Authority, said,The flyover is almost complete. It can be inaugurated on January 1 but we are delaying it by a few days because the connecting roads need to be widened.
To make journey between Delhi and Greater Noida signal free,we need to do away with two more red lights that are on the cuts of Sector-15 A and Film City. Work has started and we will make U-turns on the roads instead of cuts, Singh added.
