Delhi Power minister Haroon Yusuf on Wednesday said the city has enough power to meet the demands of its residents. As per latest reports, even complaints revolving around voltage fluctuation are being handled very well, said Yusuf. He added that the total power available with Delhi, from various sources,is approximately 4619 MW,well within the limits of the demand. Many recent power cuts are suspected to have been caused due to local faults. The minister said the discoms have been instructed to address local faults immediately. The plants at Jhajjar,Dadri, are not entirely functional. Jhajjar should begin supplying more power by the end of this week and the Damodar Valley Corporation too has promised to deliver more by June 15. The total available power in Delhi then will be 4900 MW, he said.
