Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal meets President Pranab Mukherjee

Amid a relentless turf war between the Centre and the Delhi government, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday. While government officials refused to divulge any details, sources said that the meeting lasted close to an hour.

In June, both L-G Najeeb Jung and the Delhi CM had sought time with the President in order to appraise him about their respective points of view on the confrontation over various postings and transfers.

Officials of the Delhi government said that the meeting was a “courtesy call”.

“The meeting was held behind closed doors and lasted for close to an hour. Several issues would have been discussed but no details can be divulged,” an official said.
