From turkeys delivered to your doorstep to four course meals with duck consommé and unlimited champagne-gourmet dining this Christmas is a wrap
Stuffing a turkey can make the bravest squirm. Thankfully, several restaurants in the city have eased the burden of preparing the highly anticipated Christmas staple by incorporating it in their special menu for the day. The Oberoi patisserie has imported American Butterball Turkey, marinated overnight and roasted and garnished with prunes and vegetables. For Rs 2400,you can have it delivered to your doorstep. Alternatively, their restaurant 360,has quite a deal on offer for Christmas brunch. Unlimited champagne and cocktails, doubled with live turkey carving stations and Fruits de Mer (oysters and mussels) will uphold their Christmas tradition of the last six years.

Ours is not a pompous affair; we keep it real with kids running around and Christmas brunch as it should be. Do expect a lot of egg-nog going around though, jokes Inderpal Kochar,MD,The Lodi,on Lodi Road. The Lodi has a live counter for both lunch and dinner with options aplenty for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Unlike the many Christmas dinners, the restaurant offers an a la carte menu in addition to a buffet. The priciest dish on the menu is the grilled lobster in garlic butter for Rs 1,225. They also have a four-course meal on offer, that includes watercress salad with blue cheese and duck consommé.

No Christmas meal is complete without mulled wine and Soak in Greater Kailash I claims to have gotten it just right. Its quite a task the fusion of herbs and fruits need to compliment each other and the wine, says Akhil Gupta, restaurant manager. Largely a wine bar,Soak too offers a five-course meal inclusive of pumpkin soup and a medley of duck infused with oranges.
