Thirteen days after the body of a 22-year-old woman was found in a black bag dumped in the circulating area of the New Delhi railway station,the police claimed to have identified her,though her name is yet to be divulged.
The police have also confirmed that a man has been picked up for questioning in that regard.
Newsline reported on Saturday that a man in his early fifties had approached the police with a newspaper clipping,claiming that the woman was his daughter.
A senior police officer said,We are not in a position to divulge the name of the woman. However,the girl has been identified as a resident of Uttam Nagar.
He said the man,who has been detained for questioning in connection with the womans murder on February 11,is currently being questioned. Only after the investigation is over can we confirm if the man is the same person with whom the woman was reportedly living in Paharganj, the officer added.
