Maken also releaed a 2013 tweet of Bedi in which she had said ‘One day NaMo will need to respond with clarity about riots massacre. Despite Courts clearing him so far.’
Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Maken on Sunday said both governments at the Centre and the state were “anti-farmer”, which ignored the plight of farmers after the recent rains.
Addressing a farmers’ rally at Barwala village in Bawana, Maken said farmers of Delhi were hit badly due to the destruction of their crops following the recent unseasonal rain and hailstorm, but neither the Modi government at the Centre nor the Kejriwal government in Delhi “were bothered to provide any compensation to them”.
Maken had earlier visited the villages of Bajitpur, Katewra and Qutabgarh in the Bawana constituency to assess the destruction of crops suffered by the farmers on account of rain and hailstorm.

Stating that the crops in these areas were ruined, Maken said neither the BJP-led Central government nor the Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi government bothered to take stock of the losses suffered by the farmers and provide suitable compensation to them to help them tide over the crisis.
“Farmers needed to be provided urgent financial compensation for them to get back on their feet, as their crops are destroyed, but sadly the Central and Delhi governments have not taken any step to provide them financial relief,” Maken said.
