Commuters stranded in Metro

Technical glitches forced commuters to remain stranded in a Metro train at Chawri Bazaar station Sunday evening around 5.15 pm,when a train broke down at the station. Commuters remained stuck at the station for over 30 minutes following which the train was pulled out of service and commuters shifted to another train. The incident caused delays on the line from Rajiv Chowk to Jahangirpuri,said DMRC officials. Operations from Rajiv Chowk to HUDA City Center,part of the recently commissioned Metro Corridor on Line 2 (Jahangirpuri-HUDA City Center),were not affected. Delhi Metro officials said the technical fault is being investigated.
