Class 12 student dies by suicide in Gurgaon society

A class 12 student of a private school allegedly jumped to death from the 13th floor of his Gurgaon house late on Monday night. Police said prima facie probe has found that it is a case of suicide, adding that the student had been stressed due to studies and examinations.

According to the police, the incident was reported around 1 am, following which a police team went to the spot. Police said they have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC.

A police officer said, “Information was received that a boy died after falling from the 13th floor of his house in a society. According to his family, he was stressed due to ongoing exams and his studies. However, the exact reason for the alleged suicide is yet to be ascertained. The family has not filed any complaint. The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem.”
