Central,Old Delhi markets closed today

Traders’ associations in Delhi have called for a bandh on Thursday to express solidarity with Anna Hazare and the movement against corruption.

President of Chandni Chowk Traders’ Association,Sanjeev Mehra,said,“We will be closing markets tomorrow to support Anna Hazare.” Mehra said they might extend the bandh if Hazare’s health deteriorates.

Besides Chandni Chowk,Connaught Place,Scindia House,Regal Building and Old Janpath in Central Delhi and Karol Bagh will also remain closed on Thursday. This was confirmed by President of New Delhi Traders Association,Atul Bhargava.
