Railways hasnt withdrawn our sponsorship: OC
The Commonwealth Games Organising Committee on Wednesday said it has received no communication from Indian Railways threatening to withdraw the Rs 100-crore sponsorship as claimed in media reports. The Indian Railways sponsorship was announced on the floor of the House as part of Railway Budget and SMAM (Sports Marketing and Management) will not get a commission from it. According to our contract with them,we need not give them commission for money coming directly from the government, said OC spokesperson Lalit Bhanot. The OCs own marketing team is managing servicing for Indian Railways instead of SMAM.
