Biker’s death in Gurgaon accident: Accused yet to present driver’s licence, car has two pending challans & BJP sticker
DCP (East) Mayank Gupta said the vehicle was purchased from Bihar in July.

The car that collided with Akshat Garg’s bike on Golf Course Road in Gurgaon was purchased in July and has two pending challans, police said. They added that the accused, Kuldeep Kumar Thakur, could not present his driver’s licence when he was caught after the accident, and a notice had been sent asking him to submit the same.
Thakur (25), who hails from Bihar’s Madhubani, was arrested on Sunday after the accident and was released on bail in a few hours. He runs a media firm that markets political parties, the police said, and his car, a Mahindra XUV EXD, sported the sticker of BJP candidate from Palwal for the October 5 Haryana polls, Gaurav Gautam. Also, the registration details of his car shows that the vehicle has two pending challans.
DCP (East) Mayank Gupta said the vehicle was purchased from Bihar in July. “He has a no-parking challan against him. Regarding the sticker of the BJP candidate, many supporters have such stickers. We have found no concrete link of his being any functionary of the party.”
“He was granted bail after complying with Supreme Court directions in the Arnesh Kumar vs State of Bihar case. We will collect the instrument cluster and send it for testing to ascertain the speed of both vehicles before they collided,” he added.
An instrument cluster is a collection of parts of a vehicle that help identify various technical aspects of its status, such as the dashboard.
Gurgaon Police spokesperson, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep, said that Thakur was granted bail as the punishment for the crime for which he was booked was less than seven years. “The car had a sticker of a BJP candidate, but he is not a member of the party,” he added.
Sandeep further said that Thakur has not been able to produce his driver’s licence and has been sent a notice to submit it within a stipulated time, failing which additional charges will be pressed against him.
A personal staffer attached to BJP Palwal candidate Gaurav Gautam said they did not know the accused. “We have been campaigning for over 10 days now and have been giving out these stickers. They are in people’s houses and vehicles. That doesn’t mean we know everyone who supports us. We have no idea who this person is and we have not employed any agency directly for campaigning,” said Brij Sharma, the staffer.
While the social media handles of the accused were disabled, the company in which he is the founder, All Axis Media, specialises in advertisements, documentaries, digital and content marketing, public relations and social media marketing. In June, the firm had posted on Instagram about their Himachal Pradesh war room for the Congress.
“In the heart of our HPCC War Room, we celebrate a historic victory in Himachal Pradesh. For over a month, our team has worked tirelessly, day and night, driven by passion and dedication. This win is a testament to our collective effort and unwavering commitment to a brighter future for Himachal. Here’s to every team member who made this possible—your hard work has truly made history,” it read.
A staff who earlier worked with All Axis Media said the team had not more than 10 people and was based out of Ghitorni.
