The sea,sun and sand were missing but Delhi did get a taste of the Sunburn Music Festival,an annual carnival held on the beaches of Goa. On Friday night,two DJs from Sunburn — Alex Miles,who is also a resident DJ in Bora Bora,Ibiza,and John ‘00’ Fleming,a Trance specialist — played an impressive four-hour set at Elevate,Noida,as part of the Sunburn,Electric Circus.

The dance floor recreated a carnival atmosphere as the DJs got the crowd swinging from the word go with their electronic and house tracks. “We prefer Bollywood numbers since they are simpler to understand. But these DJs managed to keep the tempo of the music high,” said Rahul Gupta,a guest at the club that evening.

For Alex Miles,a regular at major cubs in Italy,Germany and Spain,the mood at Elevate was impressive. “People here are curious about the music and responded well,” he said. The tour is being held across India to popularise the Goa festival.
