Buoyed by reports of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) booking former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Feed Back Unit (FBU) case, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) exuded confidence that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would be the next AAP leader to land behind bars as it went door-to-door seeking to “expose” the alleged corruption of the AAP government Thursday.

Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva, welcoming the registration of the case by the CBI and terming it a victory for the people, alleged that Kejriwal was also the mastermind of the FBU case and demanded that he be booked for sedition.

Demanding that Kejriwal tender his resignation, party leaders fanned out across the capital seeking to apprise citizens of “the corruption in the liquor policy” with handbills to bolster their allegations and arguing that the AAP national convenor was the “real mastermind” of the scam.

“Kejriwal, who is the real mastermind of the liquor scam, too will soon be behind bars. On one hand, Sisodia is in jail for corruption in the liquor policy and on the other, today an FIR has been registered against him in the espionage case. The layers of corruption of AAP leaders, who call themselves staunchly honest, are getting exposed one by one,” Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri alleged.

“Laws do not allow the Delhi government to allow sale of liquor from 10 pm to 3 am… But Kejriwal extended the time of sale without permission. The BJP is no longer going to sit silent in the liquor scam and till he does not resign from his post, our protest will continue,” he added.

State General Secretary Kuljeet Singh Chahal alleged that Kejriwal and his entire cabinet were “conspiring to drown Delhi in alcohol and corruption worth crores of rupees” when the people of the city were on the streets looking for liquid medical oxygen in the middle of the pandemic.

“Instead of answering the BJP’s questions, Kejriwal is now trying to divert people from the issue… BJP, with the people of Delhi, will continue till Kejriwal, the kingpin of the liquor scam, does not resign,” Chahal said.
