A 13-year-old gangrape victim allegedly committed suicide on Saturday after she was not allowed to file a police complaint by the local panchayat,which reportedly let off the rapists with a mere warning.

Ghaziabad:A 13-year-old gangrape victim allegedly committed suicide on Saturday after she was not allowed to file a police complaint by the local panchayat,which reportedly let off the rapists with a mere warning. The girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a dupatta in her house in Garhmukteshwar town in Panchsheel Nagar district,police said. The victim was allegedly gangraped by three youths on Wednesday and her parents took the matter to the panchayat,officials said. The panchayat allegedly did not allow the girl to file a police complaint.

Body of 39-year-old man found in dustbin

New Delhi:A 39-year-old man was found dead inside a dustbin at an isolated spot in Southwest Delhis Dwarka area early on Sunday morning. The incident came to light after a passerby found the man with injuries dumped in a dustbin at an isolated spot in Dwarka Sector 7. We received a PCR call at 7.30 am about the dead body. We rushed to the spot and found the victim identified as Raghubir,a resident of J J Colony,dead. The body has been sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for a post-mortem, said a senior police officer. Police said,His head may have been smashed with a stone. Prima facie,it seems to be a case of personal enmity.
