Woken up early,22-yr-old ends life
A 22-year-old youth,on Saturday,committed suicide at his Bharat Nagar residence in North Delhi after quarreling with his family members over being made to wake up early in the morning. According to sources,the Bharat Nagar police were called to mediate when things came to a head. But the youth,identified as Rohit,went to his room and hanged himself,even as the police officers were standing outside. His father,Mukesh Gupta,runs a small bangle business.

Girl found dead in Swarup Nagar
A two-year-old girl was found dead in Swarup Nagar area of Outer Delhi on Saturday morning. According to the police,the girl was at her grandfather’s house in B block the previous day,but had gone missing at night. Her body was found behind the house in the morning. Her father,Prakash,had filed a missing complaint with the police on the previous night. Police said the body bore no injury marks.

One dead,3 hurt in car accident
One person died and three others were injured when a Maruti Alto crashed into a pillar on the Greater Noida Expressway. According to the police,the car — plying from Koundli to Greater Noida — was travelling at a very high speed. “When the car reached a roundabout near Galgotia College and took a service lane,it crashed into a pillar. There were found persons in the car,” a senior police officer said,adding that while Sonu (25) died on the spot,Babu,Kapil and Sunil were rushed to Kailash Hospital.

CBI visit to OC office goes in vain
Indicating lack of coordination among various agencies investigating the CWG cases,a CBI team returned empty-handed after it visited the Organising Committee’s office on Saturday to procure documents related to the AM Films contract. The documents had already been handed over to the Enforcement Directorate,which is probing the case.
