Two persons were killed and several suffered minor injuries when a school bus of DPS Indirapuram collided with an SUV in Gajraula area of Ghaziabad on Saturday.

Two persons were killed and several suffered minor injuries when a school bus of DPS Indirapuram collided with an SUV in Gajraula area of Ghaziabad on Saturday. The police said the incident occurred at 7 am. “The occupants of the SUV (Scorpio),Arvinder Singh (34) and Jaspreet (36),were killed in the mishap. Both were Punjab residents,” a senior police officer said. Six students and three teachers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Shanti Gopal Hospital in Ghaziabad. The bus was carrying school students on a study trip. “Apart from DPS students,there were a few exchange students from Germany on the bus,” the officer added.

The police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving,though no arrests have been made so far. “We recovered three licensed pistols,three mobiles and Rs 85,000 from the car of the deceased,” the police officer said.

Missing student’s body found in Lucknow
GHAZIABAD
: The body of 22-year-old Imran,a Ghaziabad student,who was missing since Wednesday,was recovered in Lucknow,the police said on Saturday. “Imran had received a phone call on Wednesday. He told his father he was going to meet a friend,after which he did not return,” police sources said. A complaint was registered by his father on Thursday. The same day,the Ghaziabad police received a call from Lucknow that Imran’s body had been found on railway tracks in the city. The police identified him on the basis of papers found in his pocket. Imran was an MBA student with Sikkim Manipal University.
