Docs strike at DDU hospital,kid dies
New Delhi
: A four-year-child suffering from brain fever died while he was being shifted to another hospital due to the strike of junior doctors in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. After two patients hit a junior doctor on Friday night,around 450 junior doctors went on strike Saturday morning,crippling medical services. Medical Superintendent Dr Jiledhar said: “The child died on the way to another hospital. However,it was the family’s decision to go to another hospital.” The strike was called off in afternoon.

8 die in Ghaziabad of ‘viral fever’

: At least eight persons,including three children,died in the last 24 hours in Ghaziabad due to suspected viral fever,health officials said on Saturday. Twenty-four fresh cases of dengue have also been reported.

Met predicts clear sky on Games day

: The Games Opening Ceremony will not be spoilt by the weather,the Met Department said. According to its prediction for Sunday,there will be a bright and clear sky with no chance of rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius while the humidity levels are likely to be between 90 and 40 per cent.

Half marathon in Noida today
