I’m not really happy with my performance. It was all right. This time around,I am happier about the team’s win.

A new company Cool Maal is launching brand Yuvi. So is it going to be in tune with your personality?
Yes,of course. It is my identity that will be out in the form of collectibles. Items like mugs and T-shirts are flamboyant in a lot of bright colours. The first line of products is based on the six sixes by me in the Twenty20 World Cup.

The merchandise is priced between Rs 70 and Rs 700.
I wanted it to be available to the kids who play cricket and wish to own their cricketer’s merchandise. When I was growing up,I was in the habit of buying posters of cricketers for my room.

But then this line will not be a collector’s item?
That’s all right. I will launch one in future for those who love collecting cricket memorabilia.

The proceeds from this are going to the Yuvraj Singh Foundation. Tell us a little more about it.
It is an association that funds young kids who want to make a career in any sporting arena. It aims to support emerging sporting talent from all disciplines.

If you wished to own a cricketer’s merchandise,whose would it be?
I don’t know which cricketer,but I would definitely like to own Manchester United merchandise. Whenever I go to London,I make it a point to pick up something from Man U.

Up next is the Indian Premier League. Kings XI Punjab were a finalist last season. What are the expectations this time?
Our team played fantastic cricket in the last season. This time we are playing away from home but hoping to have a great run nevertheless. And hopefully,win.

Also,do you wish to replicate the six-sixes feat?
In cricket anything can happen. So,why not?
