Four persons including a government school principal,a Delhi Police constable and a teacher have been arrested for allegedly attempting to leak question papers of the SSC examination.

Four persons — including a government school principal,a Delhi Police constable and a teacher —have been arrested for allegedly attempting to leak question papers of the SSC examination. The examination was for the post of lower division clerk, which was to be held on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off,police arrested Manoj (31) and Harish (24),from Shahbad Dairy,Outer Delhi. Sources in the police said the question papers had been kept in a school at Rohini.

“Narender Dahiya (24),physical training teacher at the school, helped Manoj enter school premises. Manoj was given access to the papers, after which he took pictures of question papers on his phone. Narender’s associate Harish,a Delhi Police constable was driving their car and was also involved in the racket. After being arrested, they told us that a school principal in Mangolpuri,Krishan Kumar (57),had offered to solve the question papers for them. They had planned to provide the answers to their candidates for a huge sum of money,” a police officer said.

Police said that they were probing the role of other teachers in the school where papers were kept.

Police said the gang roped in others to solve question papers. “They would ask candidates to text them the set number of their question paper. They were planning to provide them answers via SMS. We will arrest the others involved in the racket,” a police officer said.

Police said Manoj and Harish were old friends and wanted to make a quick buck by leaking the examination paper.
