A 20-year-old woman had a narrow escape after a shot fired from a country-made pistol brushed past her head in the Jehangirpuri area on Friday.

A 20-year-old woman had a narrow escape after a shot fired from a country-made pistol brushed past her head in the Jehangirpuri area on Friday. The police said Durga Prasad,victim Rajni’s neighbour,had a fight with one Chotu,an alleged bad character of the area around 10.30 pm. “Rajni was watching from her balcony as the two fought with each other. When Chotu fired his country-made pistol in the air to scare Durga Prasad and others who had gathered,the bullet brushed past Rajni’s head,” a police officer said. Though Rajni was unhurt,she was taken to LN Hospital and is said to be out of danger. Chotu,who fled the spot,was arrested on Saturday. A case has been registered against him at the Jehangirpuri police station and the police are investigating the matter.
