Bangalore: Eight people accused of mugging the cashier of a bar have been arrested by the Byatarayanapura police while allegedly preparing for a dacoity. They have been identified as Banashankari 3rd stage residents Jagadish (23),Girish (23),Devaraj (20) and Raghavendra (25),Vithal (24) of Hosakerehalli,Ajay (25) of Jayanagar,Manikanta (34) of Tilakanagar and Palani (29) of Kolipuram. The cashier was mugged on Kanakapura Main Road on September 30 when he was going to a bank to deposit Rs 1.23 lakh.

6 held for murder plot

Bangalore: The police arrested a group of six in Basaveshwaranagar Tuesday. They said Chandrashekar alias Chandru (22),Uday (20),Prasanna Kumar (21),and Gagan (19) of Kanakapura Road and Praveen (21) and S Muniraju (22) of Dasarahalli had planned to loot and kill a person.
