Youths audition for acting talent hunt show

In the first phase of auditions that kicked off in the city,contestants came together to showcase their acting skills.

Auditions for the show have been conducted in six cities of Punjab – Patiala,Bathinda,Amritsar,Ludhiana,Jalandhar and Chandigarh.

Speaking of his role as a mentor,actor Gavie Chahal said,“A major part of today’s youth harbors dreams of stardom. But not all get the platform to depict their talents. Big Fame Star is giving the youth this platform and I am delighted to be a part of it.”

Sunita Dhir said,“Punjab has immense talent but they don’t have the right direction. Ours is an effort to provide the correct platform and direction to whoever has the acting ka keeda and furnish them to fit into the

industry.”

Misha Bajwa Chaudhary,the Cluster Programming Head,said,“The response from Chandigarh has turned out to be great. The city is full of talent. Punjab has given rise to many Bollywood actors in the past and I’m sure we will find amazing performers once again from here.”

The selected artists will be fully groomed and will be trained in all types of acting. Contestants,who were mainly from the age group of 16 to 25 years,emerged in huge numbers to audition for the show.

A total of 16 contestants,across the six cities,will reach the Gala Round that will be featured on Spark Punjabi.

Students,college pass-outs,theater artists and even agriculturists turned up to give the auditions.

The next level of auditions will be conducted in Noida.
