In yet another incident,a local resident misbehaved with a traffic woman constable. Posted near the Sector 22/ 23/ 35/ 36 roundabout (near Kissan Bhawan),the woman constable had signalled a local driving in a car. When the local,a resident of Sector 34 driving a vehicle (MP04CC9707) refused to stop,the woman constable confronted him. Following this,the two entered into a verbal dual. The incident took place around noon when the constable was regulating the traffic. Officials of the concerned police station,Sector 34 rushed to the spot. Taking stock of the situation,a daily diary report (DDR) was lodged. However,the two parties later entered into a compromise after the Sector 34 resident tendered an apology for misbehaving with the woman constable. In another incident which took place on Tuesday,another traffic woman constable was misbehaved with,manhandled by a local resident. The accused,20-year-old Sandeep,was riding his scooter from sector 19/27 towards sector 7 at the time of the incident on Tuesday. When Sneh Lata,the woman constable had directed Sandeep to stop,he got into an altercation with her and then assaulted her. Sandeep was arrested.
