The state unit of All India Medical Laboratory Technologist’s Association (AIMLTA) and Computer Services Cell,PGIMER,organised a two-day workshop on computer update in medical technology at the National Institute of Paramedical Sciences,PGIMER,which concluded on Friday.

Professor Arvind Rajwanshi ,Head of the Department of Cytology and Gynae-pathology,inaugurated the workshop.

Faculty members and technologists from various related departments were also present on the occasion. K S Rana gave the vote of thanks.

According to organising secretary Dr Pankaj Kaul,the workshop was intended to provide scientific information resource in virtually all aspects of basics in computers and Internet relevant to

patient care,health promotion and disease diagnosis to the medical laboratory technology professionals.

The scientific programme,coordinated by Nisha Mani Handa,senior programmer,included various plenary lectures by software engineers of the computer services cell and hands-on practical training was given by Parminder Sodhi.
