Woman’s body found in Mansa Devi complex

The body of Gayatri Devi (65) was found in a society building of the Mansa Devi complex on Monday. Her neighbours found a foul smell coming from the flat and informed the society president,who further informed the Mansa Devi police station. She seems to have been dead for two days. Gayatri Devi,who was unmarried,had been living alone in the flat for five years and her brother Shravan Gupta owns Panchkula Engineering College. For two days,no one saw her going anywhere. When Mansa Devi police station SHO Inspector Dalip Kumar reached the spot with his men,the door of the flat was found open. The body had an injury mark on the head and prima facie it looked like a murder case. However,the things in the house were intact. DSP (Crime) Ram Chander Rathi,Panchkula SP Maneesh Chaudhry and a forensic team reached the spot. On a complaint of her brother,the cops registered the case under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code.
