We are ready for polls: Badal

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that the SAD-BJP combine was ready for the polls irrespective of the dates.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that the SAD-BJP combine was ready for the polls irrespective of the dates. “To decide upon the polls is the prerogative of the Election Commission of India. We are ready (for polls) whenever these are announced,be it on schedule or ahead of it,” said the CM,after he inaugurated a cattle fair market at Killianwali.

Built at a cost of Rs. 7.59 crores and said to be only such market in North India,the cattle fair market comes equipped with state-of-the-art facilities,including showers for livestock. The state government has proposed more such markets in Dhanaula,Nabha,Jagraon and Kurali to facilitate trading of cattle and livestock.

Badal blamed the Congress for poverty,illiteracy and unemployment while speaking during his Sangat Darshan programs in different villages of Lambi constituency. He disbursed grants worth nearly Rs. 1.5 crores during the Sangat Darshan programs today. The CM also inaugurated a library at Guru Nanak College of Management and Technology.
