Udit’s ton steers St Soldier-45 to final

An unbeaten century (110) from Udit Hari Mehta helped St Stephen’s School,Sector 45,Chandigarh,humble DAMV Model School,Sector 15,Chandigarh,by 126 runs in a semi-final match to enter the finals of the Satluj T20 Champions League 2010 held at Satluj Public School premises in Sector 4 on Friday. Batting first,St Stephen’s-45 posted a mammoth total of 213 for the loss of just two wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. The chief scorer in the team’s huge total was Udit,who hammered the opposition bowlers all over the ground to raise his century in no time. Lovish Bansal also played some good shots to add vital 47 runs to the team’s total score.

Chasing the target was never going to be easy for the DAV-15 team and the whole team was bundled out for 87 in 17.3 overs,thus losing the match by 126 runs. Deepak Thakur top scored for the team with 25 runs,while Anshuman contributed 24 runs. Gaurav Singh,Jagpreet Singh and Rishu Chopra picked up two wickets each.

Vohra stars in CCA win
A fine half-century by Manan Vohra guided CCA to an 87-run win over MCA in a league match of the CCA U-19 Cup played on Friday. Batting first,CCA posted a total of 221 runs in 41.5 overs. Manan Vohra played a knock of 91 runs as he smashed 12 boundaries and two sixes. Vishal Thing made 32 runs. In reply,MCA were bundled out for a total of 118 runs. Sachin Sohal made 37 runs. Veer Karan Goyal claimed three wickets for 20 runs. Anil Sihag claimed two wickets for 24 runs.
