Two car-borne persons were arrested with a sophisticated pistol made in the United States of America,the police said here on Saturday.

Two car-borne persons were arrested with a sophisticated pistol made in the United States of America,the police said here on Saturday. The accused have been identified as Gurinder Singh and Narang Singh of Bhadla Neecha village near Khanna in Ludhiana district.

The police intercepted,on the basis of suspicion,their Hyundai Verna car,in which they were coming from Chandigarh side,at a check-post near Chawla Chowk in Phase VII at around 7.25 pm and the search yielded a pistol hidden under the driver’s seat.
