Two dead in separate road accidents

A pedestrian was killed when a car hit him near Tribune Chowk on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Anshu Chugh (19) from Hissar. He was a student at Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO),Sector 30. The driver of the car fled from the spot. The complainant Sukhpal Singh said the driver of the car first hit the vehicle around 2.45 pm and then knocked the pedestrian. Chugh was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered against the driver under Sections 279,337,304 of IPC. Meanwhile,a motorcyclist,identified as Ram Niwas,a resident of Sector-41,and pillion rider,identified as Dheeraj of Dadumajra Colony,were hit by a vehicle near the 41-42 dividing road around 8.40 on Sunday. Both got injured and admitted to Government Multi Specialty Hospital,Sector-16. Dheeraj succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered at Sector-36 police station.
