Two dead,four injured in separate road accidents

Two persons were killed while another four were injured in separate road accidents in the Naraingarh sub-division during the last 24 hours.

Two persons were killed while another four were injured in separate road accidents in the Naraingarh sub-division during the last 24 hours. The victims include businessman Kamalkant from Hapur (Uttar Pradesh) and Som Nath,a vegetable seller from Naraingarh. Of the four injured,the condition of one was stated to be serious,who was later referred to PGI Chandigarh.

Kamalkant died after his car was hit by a dumper on the Naraingarh-Kalamb road. He was extracted with great difficulty and was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. His body was handed over to his family after conducting a postmortem. Though the dumper driver fled from the spot,the police have impounded his vehicle and registered a case against him.

In another accident near Sein Majra village near Naraingarh,a vegetable vendor Som Nath (55) was hit by an unidentified car killing him on the spot. The police have registered a case and started investigations. The driver is said to have escaped from the spot.

In another accident,four persons were injured when their car collided with a truck on the Naraingarh-Chandigarh road. One Tejbir and three others were coming from Charahi Bilaspur village (HP) when the truck hit their vehicle head on near the Hussaini turnabout.

All the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital from where Tejbir was referred to the PGI in Chandigarh while the remaining three are undergoing treatment.
