Two dead,1 hurt in separate mishaps

In separate incidents that took place in the area on Friday,two persons lost their lives while another was left seriously injured.

In the first incident,Yashpal Singh (42),a resident of Karal Majra village near Shahbad (Haryana),got electrocuted outside a factory in Industrial Focal Point in Dera Bassi.

According to police,Yashpal,an employee of Apsco Prefabs Private Limited,was on duty when he reportedly tried to retrench an electric wire that was hanging from a transformer,when he got electrocuted.

Yashpal is survived by wife and two children. The second incident took place in Dhakoli village of Zirakpur,where a 40-year-old woman died after she slipped from the stairs of her house.

She was rushed to PGI,Chandigarh.

In yet another incident,Hemant Kumar,a resident of Zirakpur,was bitten by a snake late on Thursday night. As his condition deteriorated,he was rushed to GMCH-32,Chandigarh,where he is struggling for life.
