A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her paying-guest accommodation in Sector 21. A resident of Kala Amb in Himachal,the deceased has been identified as Priyanka,around 25-years-old. She was pursuing a course in the city to become an air-hostess.
The police said no suicide note was recovered from the room and the reason behind the suicide could not be ascertained yet. The family of the deceased has been informed,they said.
In another case,an 18-year-old girl of Darua village died after she consumed a poisonous substance. The police said the girl did not leave any suicide note but she was depressed after a fight with her sister,which may have prompted her to take this step.
One arrested for child abuse
A resident of Palsora was booked in a case of sodomy after a man complained that his 12-year-old son was subjected to unnatural sex by the accused on Saturday night. He complained to the police that the accused found the child alone at home last night and sexually abused him. The police said accused Sagar Sharma has been arrested in the case under Sections 367,377,506 and 342 of IPC and investigations are on.
